What personal data we collect and why we collect it

We have great respect for privacy and try to use personal data as little and respectful as possible. We restrict the data we collect to information we need for functional operations of the business. The only data we collect ourselves is the data relevant to sales/ bookings the visitor might make. This information might be a visitors name and contact information, the dates and times of bookings, purchase information, consents and preferences. We also collect visitors email addresses for future communication if the visitor has expressed a wish to receive future communication. If the visitor has made a booking or a purchase we will retain the collected information for future referencing and for future communication. (This may include notes of phone calls or contact in the past for future referencing). This information will not be shared with third parties, unless circumstantially necessary and agreed upon (for instance if a visitor rents our equipment for an event and the event organiser requests visitors details for us to enter the site) The visitor will always have the option to express a wish not to be contacted in the future and we will delete their contact details and collected information. We do not collect or share any other personal information ourselves. Some embedded websites or services (facebook f.i.) behave in the same way as if the visitor has visited the other website (more details below).

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your e-mail address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service Privacy Policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms and other contact methods

If a visitor uses our contact form, emails us or contacts us via Facebook, phone or WhatsApp, we will use the information provided to process the specific request. We will keep this information in our database (we will not share these details with third parties) for future reference, so we can keep track of past communication to enhance our level of service provision. We may also use a visitors information for marketing purposes, but you will always have the choice to opt out. Also, a visitor can ask to have their details removed at any point and we will do so.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt in to saving your name, e-mail address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

Who we share your data with

We do not actively share your data with third parties, apart from when circumstantially necessary, as explained before. Software on your device may access your information. Our products or services may contain links to, or may be embedded within, other companies’ websites and services that have privacy policies of their own. For the running of our website we do use hosts and add-ins by Strato, WordPress, Smart Slider, wpdevart booking calendar, ABC pricing table, tabs – responsive tabs with accordions, contact form 7 and custom Facebook feed. They have their own cookie and privacy policies. Booking Calendar WpDevArt has the opportunity for submitting forms and extras. When users submit forms or extras, they can also provide personal information, such as name, email, addresses, phone number and so on. All this data will be saved in WordPress database, so WpDevArt has access to this information when a user uses this service. They have their own privacy policy.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website or contact us (or that we have contacted), we also store the personal information they provide. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time. Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
